Abhilasha Singh

As the Principal of Shining Star International School in Abu Dhabi, I lead an institution focused on the Indian curriculum and drive a culture of growth and innovation among both staff and students. My expertise in educational leadership is recognized through various accolades and roles. I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert for the 2020-21 cohort and serve as the UAE Country Ambassador for T4 Education. Additionally, I have facilitated the Climate Action Project since 2020 as the Climate Action Project UAE Ambassador. I am certified in International Inspection Skills, having earned the School Inspection Competency Certificate from the Tribal Group in the UK. Recently, I was honored as a Global Schools Advocate for 2022 by the Global Schools Program, affiliated with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Under my leadership, our school was shortlisted among the Top 10 for the Best School Prize in the Innovation category by T4 Education. My involvement extends to global initiatives; I am part of the GEP UNESCO Climate Action Curriculum Planning Working Group and serve as the Strategy and Outreach Coordinator for the UN Common Cluster NGO Major Group. I played a pivotal role in the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) Side event on global peace. My leadership has been recognized with several awards: Most Inspiring Leader 2020 by Square International, Innovative Leader Award 2021 by Ekk Updesh (supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, and FIT India), Top 10 Indian Women Leaders in UAE 2022 by Women Entrepreneur India, and Most Inspiring Principal Award 2022 by Yalla Schools, UAE. Recently, I received the Mentorship Maestro Award at the Learner Circles Education Excellence Award 2024 in Dubai. My journey is defined by a commitment to excellence, global collaboration, and innovative educational practices.
